Thanksgiving 2008

So.... here's the recap.

Arrived Wednesday night into San Diego. My best friend Katie and her fiance Tyler and my g/f and I all headed to a late dinner / drinks at TGI Friday's.

Woke up on Thursday and had a lazy morning. Katie's family arrived and we spent the day hanging out, playing with Katie's nephews Jack and Charlie, watching the parade and basically lounging because it was raining.

On Black Friday we went to the zoo.... (and now the pictures begin).

We popped a tire on the way there.

Luckily, Tyler to the rescue and we were back on the road in 15 minutes (here's us after a safe arrival at the zoo)

Lots of animal pics at the zoo. We don't have a telephoto lens for the 5D yet, so we couldn't get as tight a shots as we would have preferred. Oh well. Sorry if photobucket hates me and likes to rotate them.

And now a few people pic's at the zoo.

All four of us being retarded.

Then we spent Friday night after dinner out looking at all of Tyler's hunting equipment - bows and shotguns and rifles. Katie and I tried to pull the bow back but we were both weaklings so we couldn't and my g/f didn't even try because she thought we were retarded for playing with it! haha.

Then we spent Saturday at the mall shopping for my bridesmaid outfit with Katie's sister Amy (another bridesmaid) and watching Twilight. Then I harassed one of Katie and Tyler's cats, Cooper, for awhile with the camera. Then we went out to dinner and then cruised home to watch a movie and kick back.

Sunday we went out to do more shopping and screw around before we flew home. We drove past the damaged homes from the fires last year and saw all the new construction.
Then we bought some gear at the mall.

Grabbed some rolled tacos from Jalapenos (I FUCKING LOVE rolled tacos and fuckin nor cal and reno have no idea what a rolled taco is) and then bummed it for a bit at the house until we drove to the airport and headed home.

Awesome trip. So good to see everyone and see the babies (so huge now) but so sad to come home.
