The Canadian flag is being raised and the anthem is about to play. The USA stands watching with solemn faces and Canada's player stand beaming.
It was a tough loss for the US but an amazing Olympic series. It took people who never watch hockey and turned them into loyal Team USA fans.
Team USA - thank you for reminding everyone, hockey fans or not, why America is such a great nation!!
Zach Parise - a winger. You made the goal that got us into overtime... you stepped up when we needed you. Thank you for buying us a little extra time!
Ryan Miller - goalie. The job nobody ever wants because they fear the outcome of the game will lay solely in their gloves... you played an amazing series. Be proud of your position. You were an amazing asset to Team USA.
Thank you TEAM USA - You fought so hard for us!
