Finally, after a long wait, lots of traveling, friends visiting and being sick, the blogging is back on course.
Shall we begin the holiday recap?
We flew to VA to see the future in - laws (my girls parents, bro and sis). We spent a few days in Washington DC (more to follow), and a few more days hanging out doing touristy stuff and chillin' with the family (more on that later too). Then we came home to Reno and my Dad flew in from Key West for XMas. My Dad left on the 27th and some friends of ours came up on the 28th with their little girl and stayed until New Years Eve and then, on the 30th, while our friends were here, my girls sister came out to visit for week (all those details to follow later).
As you may have guessed, it was a busy damn holiday season.
Let's start with the photos and events.
First off, we went to Washington DC and stayed in National Harbor, MD @ the Gaylord Hotel and Convention Center. Man oh man was this place nice..... we stayed here because of their Ice! Experience...
The long and short of it is that Gaylord Properties brings in TONS of ice and carves it all into a winter wonderland complete with ice slides.
Lame part is it's freezing cold in the building so you have to wear these really cheesy blue coats, but we were warm and toasty is our cheesy coats and spent almost an hour inside looking at everything and sliding down the slides time and time again.

I truly cannot say enough about this place. It was an amazing hotel, an awesome ICE experience and a beautiful location.
We should have stayed longer.... =)
